Circus act

In December, Stella quickly went from being the “new baby” to being the “middle sister” cousin when Kamble Lynn MacIntyre was born on December 22nd.  Affectionately nicknamed, Kami is a little nugget (compared to Stella at least) with an easy going  and loving personality.

Skipping to the present for a moment - Alicia is still taking care of my kids during the week, and yes, she brings Kami along. In your mind picture this....two newborns and a 18 month old {on a g-tube} - ALL DAY LONG. I give her credit - she has figured it out, and only one day did I come home and think, she's going to quit tomorrow!

So, if you are counting….this year we welcomed Ella in July, Stella in November and Kami in December… add them to Luci (3 years old), Gabriel (18 months) and Levi (14 months) and you get SIX grandchildren in three years. Whoa.  Just imagine what Christmas is becoming … crazy town.  Seventeen people together, exchanging gifts and anecdotes, eating and cleaning up, running, bottling, changing, puking…I could go on.  For most people it would be overwhelming, but we MacIntyre’s have always been something of a circus, and I have always loved being a part of a big family…. Now it’s just a HUGE family.

On the Spangler side, we all got together on Christmas eve, and had a VERY nice time, exchanged presents, and basically all watched as Gabriel tore paper, tried to eat it, climbed boxes, etc etc.  Man, life changes with kids.... what did we do/talk about before they were here???

The MacIntyre Christmas was a LOT louder, but fun just the same.  There were the little kids to organize... "the girls" - Ella, Stella & Kami, "the boys" - Gabriel & Levi (or Henry & Charlie if you ask my dad), and the little helper - Luci.  Then we also have the big kids, Dad, Trent, Bubba, & Chuck (and Chewy when he was there) and finally the glue that holds it all together - the mommas and the auntie (Mom, Jessi, Krissi, Claire, Alicia and Em).  I need a nap just thinking about it!
